What we do know…

While growing up, many of us learned something about the history of Chief Island from our parents and grandparents, or overheard talk about the island.  Some points differ but each of us holds a small amount of knowledge about the island and its significance to our people.  If we could gather that knowledge, we can learn all there is to know about this special place.  If there is something you were told, it would help us to build an archive of information about Chief Island.  Our information will vary based on what our families knew.
