The Chippewas of Rama First Nation opened a second Tim Horton's in Casino Rama in December of 2016.   The community becomes the first First Nation in Canada to have, not one, but two Tim Hortons on reserve.  The second location is in the Rama Country Market on Rama Road at Yellowhead Trail.

Always seeking new economic ventures, Rama's Chief and Council are confident of the success of both locations.  Each offers full breakfast, lunch and coffee menus.  The Rama Country market location averages 5000 customers per week with 66% coming through drive through.  The casino location is newly established with seating for 30 customers and so far, has averaged 3600 customers per week.

Rama First Nation recently completed a ten-year visioning and Chief and Council are committed to fulfilling their community's mandate to diversify and build new economic ventures.

Tim Hortons recognized an opportunity to build relationships with First Nations by updating their territory maps in recognition that First Nations are separate entities.  This change allowed for new franchise opportunities. The new Tim Hortons venture employs 41 staff, of which approximately 50% community members, further demonstrating Rama's ongoing contribution to Simcoe North.

"This is just the beginning of a successful economic venture that will bring employment and economic diversity for our community," said Chief Noganosh.

'My Lucky Spot' gaming has been owned by Rama First Nation since 2013 in partnership with Paul Micucci and Tony Perugini who also serve with Rama as Directors.

My Lucky Spot has two locations, one in Mississauga operating under the name Rama Gaming and another Location on Kennedy Road operated under the name Kennedy Bingo.

The Mississauga location has been operating as a Gaming Centre, since October 2013. It offers 55 gaming machines, seating for 300, a player reward system, food and entertainment.  The cash flow from this business has improved year over year, since opening.

The Kennedy location has been waiting for OLG (Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation) licensing to become a Gaming Centre for roughly 3 years. So at this time, this location only offers Bingo and seating for 400.
